Will iPhone 6 Case Fit The iPhone 6s?

Do we really need to buy a new iPhone case for the iPhone 6s and 6s plus?

Apple's 2015 flagship isn’t available yet, but it has just been announced that the iPhone 6S will be around 0.2  mm thicker as its predecessor, reaching the depth of the iPhone 6 Plus.

With the additional 0.2mm adds 3% bulk to the phone. Differences, when it comes to length and width, are even smaller. We’re talking about 0.1 mm increase in length an 0.07 mm more in width. Screen size remains unscaved at 4.7″ for the 6S and 5.5 for the 6S Plus gadget.

A large amount of the size difference could come from Apple changing the aluminum used for the shell as well as strengthening several weak spots to help address concerns over bending, which is especially noticeable in the change of dimensions from the iPhone 6 Plus to iPhone 6s Plus.

Don't Panic Guys!

The changes seem to be so minor, most cases should fit in fine!  In fact, Apple's official leather and silicone cases are listed as compatible with both this and last year's iPhone variants.

However, there are some cases that fit more snug and the minor differences might matter.  We will have to just wait till the phones are released and see if the cases fit.

So, if you are a big Apple fan that upgrades to the latest iPhone model every year, you could start saving for new accessories too!
